Brent was born and raised just up the road in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Being the product of two hard-working restaurateurs, Brent began waiting tables at fifteen. He attended high school in Chattanooga, TN before coming back home to South Carolina for undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina. He double majored in Econonics and Marketing, along with a minor in Political Science. After graduating in 2008, Brent moved to Charleston to attend law school.
During law school, Brent was hired as a research assistant for a tenured professor, Sheila Scheuerman. Thereafter, Brent began clerking at a number of small local law firms before settling down with the Daniel M. Bradley Law Firm, LLC, where he helped form the building blocks of a small solo practitioner’s law firm. Brent worked as an associate attorney for six years (2011-2017) before deciding to form his own practice.
In May, 2017, the Greenberg Law Firm was formed and moved to its current location in the heart of historic Charleston. Brent has been a recipient of a state contract with the South Carolina Commission on Indigent Defense since 2013, wherein he represents parents who find themselves facing allegations of abuse/neglect against their children that cannot afford an attorney. He is also certified to served as a Guardian ad Litem. Additionally, Brent has a thriving private practice that consists primarily of family court cases, along with criminal defense matters and a handful of personal injury cases.
